| SOE: Kenya Kaguyu |
Single Origin Espressos, Roasted to Order
We've been loving our single-origin espressos (SOEs), especially our Kenya Kaguyu. As an SOE, this coffee displays an incredible sweetness, complexity and lingering finish that is complemented by its heavy, syrupy body. This Monday we'll be roasting our Kenya Kaguyu for espresso, and are offering you a chance to get in on the roast.
Kenya Kaguyu Espresso
Aroma: Molasses and smoked tea
Body: Heavy
Acidity: Vivid, with hints of citrus
Mouthfeel: Plush and syrupy
Flavor: Simple, syrupy sweet. Perfectly aged balsamic meets pipe tobacco. Notes of black tea and cedar mingle with hints of dried currant.
Finish: Long and sweet
The Kenya Kaguyu SOE will be roasted and shipped on Monday, July 12th (as long as you pre-order by 8:00am on Monday). The SOE roasts are slightly darker than the traditional varietal roast. Let these beans rest about 7-11 days before using. The espresso will start to peak around the 9th day, and the shots will be well worth the wait.
Are you a local Annapolitan? Stop by our Riva or Roastery cafe on Friday, July 23rd for a taste of this SOE. The Kenya Kaguyu will be in our hoppers that day; stop by early before it runs out. |
